InteSusAl project concludes its activities
The InteSusAl project has officially reached its end on 31st July 2016.
Running since 1st May 2011, the project demonstrated an integrated approach to produce microalgae in a sustainable manner optimising the production of algae by both heterotrophic and phototrophic routes.
The project successfully built a one-hectare plant located in Olhao, Portugal, where the cultivation tests were performed and the target of producing 90-120 dry tonnes per hectare by annum was achieved.
The project consortium members met in Olhao on 28th July 2016 to discuss the final activities and officially close-out the project.
InteSusAl received funding from the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement No 268164.
